Can you get an ASEL AND ASES in an amphibian aircraft?
I don’t know a whole lot about seaplanes, but from what I can see, most, if not all amphibians have a retractable landing gear. Can someone with only an ASEL legally take off and land an amphibian exclusively on runways with the landing gear? If so, would that mean a person could get an ASEL AND ASES rating from that one plane? (I’m assuming the same rules would apply to AMEL and AMES)
I am going to have to disagree with you “Ben”, You can fly a amphibian with just a Private ASEL. as PIC as long as you dont operate on the water. Perfectly legal.
